In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.

Tired of talking? Do you want to reach the core issues beyond the surface quickly by finding out how you are by how you behave and experience life, not by what you say? Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is an emerging field which incorporates the horse/human relationship into therapy. This is a poweful experiential approach that is very engaging and effective. We can offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Activities (EAA).
We are the only EAGALA certified practice in the West Mids.

WHY HORSES?
Because horses are prey animals they read others continuously for their survival. They are able to pick up on what is going on with you below the surface. They feel the real you beyond expectations and pretence. Horses bring naturally  the qualities that therapists strive for. They respond to you as you are, they dont lie nor hide what they feel, for many being in a relationship that is this honest without any hidden agendas is truly rewarding and illuminating.

WHAT HAPPENS?How it works
Clients are given tasks to do with the horses. How the client responds to the task and the horse responds to them is observed by a horse specialist (EAGALA Cert) and a therapist. Horses tell us and the client how they are. The client interprets what happens. Our horse specialists are also trained mental health specialists and visa versa. The interactions are a dress rehearsal for life. Programmes are individually designed and due to the powerful and effective nature of this psychotherapy, they are usually brief 8-12 sessions. We can offer one off EAL sessions and incorporate EAP sessions into a programme of counselling for counsellors.
We can work outdoors (weather permitting) in a lovely setting or indoors in a private indoor school.
The price of sessions varies depending on venue, length of session, amount of clients. We are a not for profit organisation. Please contact for enquiries.
